HRH The Duchess of Cambridge will be attending the 42nd Street Musical in London on opening night. This is a Broadway show she is attending in support of the nook appeal, a Norfolk charity she founded in 2014. The official press release can be found on East Anglia Children’s Hospice website. The charity aims to improve children’s hospice services in Norfolk. They are currently trying to secure a total of 15 million GBP to open a fourth hospice which will be named the nook. The nook will provide expanded services for the county of Norfolk.

The nook appeal has already received one donation of 250,000 GBP and it is hoped that a total of 10 million GBP can be raised on opening night. The show stars Grammy award winner Sheena Easton and it is hoped that the show’s popularity along with The Duchess of Cambridge’s attendance will bring attention to a good cause and help the nook appeal meet it’s goals for expansion.
